Sustainability
I aim to work in an eco-conscious and sustainable way throughout the design and gardening process. This includes -
-
Considering the selection of hard landscaping materials and products. For example reusing materials, choosing recycled materials and using permeable surfaces.
-
Considering the choice of plants. For example choosing plants which are resilient to the changing climate and selecting plants beneficial to wildlife or which encourage pollinators.
-
Using gardening practices which are beneficial to the environment. For example using non-chemical methods and managing water.

My approach
Sustainability
I aim to work in an eco-concious and sustainable way throughout the design and gardening process.
A sense of place
For both planting and design, the sense of place of the garden is key. This includes careful consideration of the house, wider setting and surrounding environment.
Well-being
Gardens can enhance our well being, providing a place to relax and connect with nature. For example, this can be achieved by designing using plants which appeal to our senses through scent, texture and colour.
The Gardeners Guild
The Gardeners Guild (TGG) is a national trade network for qualified gardeners. Established in 2006, TGG maintains a register of certified gardeners who offer garden and grounds maintenance as part of their services. TGG provides you with greater assurance when selecting a gardener. TGG members must hold at least one government endorsed horticultural qualification and are required to abide by the terms of membership. As a client of Rebecca Lloyd Gardens you can be confident that you have chosen a TGG member who has been officially trained and formally assessed to meet high horticultural standards.

I am also a Consultant Member of The Gardeners Guild.
