My name is Rebecca. I am a trained garden and planting designer, as well as a gardener. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Garden Design from Capel Manor College - including a Certificate in Plants & Planting.

I also have the RHS Level 2 Diploma in the Principles & Practices of Horticulture and completed a years training in a large historic garden through the ‘Work and Retrain as a Gardener’ scheme, plus volunteering in a National Trust garden.  I am continually striving to develop and extend my knowledge of horticulture and design in order to enhance the services I can offer.

I have been a self employed gardener since 2015, and set up my Farnham based gardening and design practice in 2019, covering Farnham and surrounding areas of Surrey and Hampshire.  Since then I have designed a range of garden borders,  from rural cottage gardens to contemporary styles, as well as maintaining and developing borders in a range of styles.

My work as a gardener has included assisting in maintaining the borders at the Bury Court garden, Hampshire - which includes gardens designed by Piet Oudolf, a leading designer in the new perennial movement.

Above all, I aim to understand from a client what they hope to achieve from from their new planting or garden. I strive to ensure my planting design, and garden design works with the sense of place. Creating harmony between the garden, house and wider environment.

Before my passion for plants, gardening and gardens led me to retrain in horticulture and garden design, my earlier career included experience in managing major capital projects for urban parks. I can therefore ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.  I am a registered member and Consultant Member of The Gardeners Guild.
